Political shenanigans

Following various live blogs and newsfeeds today has been like watching a spectacular slow-motion car crash (except without any guilt or horror as no one actually dies). I don’t think I’ve enjoyed politics this much since 1997 (though being in the US when Obama won was pretty special too). It truly is “the most tremendous fun ever“!

Ministers go, ministers come. But most shocking: some MP buys a subsidised second-home and later sells it to his daughter at below the market price, and has the audacity to claim he’s being picked on! Actually, isn’t Ian Gibson guilty of tax evasion? Forget losing his seat – shouldn’t he be in court?
